Nagaland prepares for People s Plan Campaign

Dimapur, Sep. 16 (EMN): A state-level committee meeting with all concerned departments in connection with the People’s Plan Campaign (PPC) was held under the chairmanship of Nagaland Chief Secretary, J Alam, on September 15 at the Secretariat conference hall. A press release from the Rural Development department informed that People’s Plan Campaign would be rolled out as “Sabki Yojana Sabka Vikas” under the ministry of Panchayati Raj, government of India from October 2, 2022, to January 31, 2023, for the preparation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) for the financial year 2023-24. Addressing the meeting, J Alam gave a brief highlight on the ongoing GPDPs implemented by RD department since 2018 and reiterated the vision of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj to make the People’s Plan Campaign a participatory process involving all the line departments in the formulation, planning and implementation of Gram Panchayat Village plans.
