Amaravati: Minister for Municipal Administration Botsa Satyanarayana on Thursday expressed confidence that the party will sweep the municipal elections as indicated by the wave of unanimous elections by YSRCP candidates in many municipalities.
Addressing the media here, he said, that so far 578 wards across the State have been elected unanimously and of them YSRCP candidates have won in 571 wards without polls, securing 98.8 percent. He stated that the municipal elections are being held in 75 municipalities and 12 corporations rounding a total of 2794 wards. Unlike Panchayat polls, as Municipal elections are being held on party symbol, the minister said that YSRCP will sweep in a smooth way.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has congratulated Jonnadula Lishitha for creating a record feat in Fire Limbo Skating. He also announced a cash incentive of Rs 1 lakh.
Lishitha created Vajra World Record in the 8- inch low and 20-metre length category. She was called on the Chief Minister at his Camp Office here on Thursday.
The Chief Minister has congratulated her for setting the Vajra world record and announced the cash incentive. Lishitha, who hails from Tanuku in the West Godavari district, was accompanied by Tanuku MLA Karmuri Nageswara Rao, her parents Anusha and Uma Maheswar and Coach Lavanya.
