The Jays turned the ball over four times and were blanked in the second half, leading to a 29-14 victory for the Battle Spartans in Central Missouri Activities Conference play. “It doesn’t feel good,” Jefferson City coach Damon Wells said. “But I do believe there is a tremendous opportunity to learn and grow from this and progress.”
Early this week, Capital City Cavaliers coach Joe Collier said the team wanted to give the fans a good show in the debut game of the Cavaliers’ new stadium. They got a great one Friday night. Capital City came back from an 11-point deficit with under 7 minutes to play to take a 37-34 Central Missouri Activities Conference win against the Battle Spartans, earning their second double-digit comeback in two weeks.
