PATNA: Two unlikely visitors to JD(U) precincts on successive days Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) MP Chandan Singh calling on Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Monday and student activist-turned-CPI member Kanhaiya Kumar meeting minister Ashok Choudhary on Sunday have led to speculation that something is brewing in the state’s political cauldron.
Chandan, the younger brother of Mokama don-turned-politician and former LJP MP Surajbhan Singh claimed his discussion with Nitish was a “routine” one on problems pertaining to his constituency Nawada.
“The timing of the meeting is significant. Last week, LJP chief Chirag Paswan had blamed the CM’s indifference for the delay in opening a medical college in his constituency Jamui,” a source said.
