Records as we get started with temperatures that arent very normal in the upper 40s and low 50s. Temperatures way above where we should be for an afternoon high. It goes above that as we go to the middle of the afternoon with some spots reaching into the low 80s and then by 5 00 were seeing those temperatures gradually starting to come back down. With plenty of sunshine. Well talk about what you can expect and when temperatures will be slightly cooler coming up. We are taking a look at the crash on the altar month pass. The debris is now cleared, but you can see the residual delays where the traffic is starting to slow down even nine Miles Per Hour in some areas. Thats the wind advisory along the pass. Once you get past the pass, speeds are picking up a bit. These are your southbay drive times looking pretty good all morning long at all travel times are in the green on the major freeways in southbay. Taking a live look at the san mateo bridge you can see some brake lights heading in the commute direction. But still not bad. Its a 13 minute drive from hayward into foster city. Taking a look at the bridge, metering lights are on, so traffic is backing up a bit. Its slow going even past the meeting lights across the span. Cloud was reported south of vacaville. You see those lightning strikes this afternoon, the thunderstorm erupted. It was confirmed by the Weather Service in sacramento that it did happen south of vacaville. Obviously, it did not touch down. It was not a tornado, but a funnel cloud, which is why they did not see any damage in that area right now around orinda highway 24, we are tracking street level radar and that is showing showers. Also some light to moderate rain right around pope valley, aetna springs, so were not completely through with this system just yet. Taking you back in time. Those thunderstorms begin firing up this afternoon, shortly after lunch in the south bay, and then eventually in the east bay. Those thunderstorms did produce hail across the region. Heavy rain at times, and that has led to a flood advisory that is still in effect for parts of the east bay until 7 15 p. M. Still, the potential is there. So for some minor roadway flooding.
