Below average temperatures. That translates into 60s and 70s. 72 in livermore. In june. That is 20 degrees below where we usually are. We are looking somewhat more normal on a tuesday morning. You can see the traffic will be moving along well on 580 in livermore. If youre trying to get into livermore you will see that traffic is slow from the Altamont Pass to the Mountain House area. It was a nice weekend, and temperatures in the 80s for some, and by wednesday and thursday, there is a lot of drizzle, and highs inland, and temperatures dropping, santa rosa started yesterday, and dropping in palo alto, down to 74. San jose from 84 to 75. This system coming in from the north, ramping up that fog bank, and the napa airport is west that 13, gusts up to 40 at travis, and 50s on your temperatures, low, mid to upper, and temperatures staying in the 60s and 70s, and this system is coming in impressive. Low clouds, breezy and cool, windy for some, 70s and 80s. 60s closer to the coast and the bank. 5 01 am. Things are little bit slowing the Altamont Pass this morning coming in from the tracy triangle. Traffic will be busy as you drive through coming in from tracy all the way through the Altamont Pass into the mountain house. It does not get better until you reach the livermore area. We had to leave the boat behind, he is a little bummed out right now. It has been a difficult and intense fire to fight in part because it is burning in steep terrain and all the vegetation is very drive from the drought it is serving as fuel for the fire. Calfire has been using 11 Fire Fighters helicopters. There is nearly 900 fire personnel. The crews will be meeting for a briefing at 7 am. We will hopefully well have more information about what direction the fire is burning and if it has grown overnight. Thanks janine dela vega. Four homes were destroyed. Eight more damaged when a spark on the edge of highway 101 in petaluma spread into brush and ignited a row of eucalyptus trees. Two people were injured. Calfire dropped water from a helicopter on the dry trees to help stop the flames from spreading even further. Coming up at 5 30 we will go live to petaluma to find out how the neighborhood is doing.
