The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce recently announced the hiring of Margy Poorman as its new president and CEO who will assume her new position June 1.
Poorman, 55, of North CanÂton, Ohio, succeeds Brad RichardÂson who retired March 31 after 11 years as the business organizationâs leader.
Chamber board chairman Brian Kerr, owner and president of Kerr Office Group, introduced Poorman during a special ceremony April 27. Selected from among a pool of 350 applicants narrowed to four final candidates for her skill-set, effectiveness and experience in economic development and business advancement advocacy work, Kerr told the business and community leaders assembled that Poorman âis just what our chamber needs as we continue to build on the great foundation already in place.â
Records obtained by 10News show Edsell was fired Tuesday and Inman was put on 10 days’ suspension and had his annual pay reduced by about $5,600.
A disciplinary letter for Inman included highlighted time card records in May, June and July when the side work allegedly happened.
Records show Edsell was disciplined in January 2017 over a missing county chain saw.
Documents state Inman’s chain saw disappeared. Police were alerted and a report taken.
But then Edsell told Inman another county employee might have borrowed it, and officials found out that Edsell himself had taken it for use.
For that, Edsell was suspended three days without pay and was stripped of his take-home vehicle privileges.
For many personnel at Fort Knox, that saying goes a long way in describing Emmet Holley.
Holley leaves behind 19 years of dedicated federal civilian service to the area as the deputy for U.S. Army Garrison-Fort Knox. He retired Friday.
Those who know him best say he leaves behind a lot more than that.
âEmmet is the best. When it came to exemplifying leadership, his actions actually spoke louder than words,â said Pat Walsh, former director of Fort Knox Directorate of Public Works. âHe always led by example. He would never ask his staff to do anything he wouldnât do himself.â
