Chamber looks at new horizons with new leader

The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce recently announced the hiring of Margy Poorman as its new president and CEO who will assume her new position June 1.
Poorman, 55, of North Can­ton, Ohio, succeeds Brad Richard­son who retired March 31 after 11 years as the business organization’s leader.
Chamber board chairman Brian Kerr, owner and president of Kerr Office Group, introduced Poorman during a special ceremony April 27. Selected from among a pool of 350 applicants narrowed to four final candidates for her skill-set, effectiveness and experience in economic development and business advancement advocacy work, Kerr told the business and community leaders assembled that Poorman “is just what our chamber needs as we continue to build on the great foundation already in place.”
