Maria José Marin of the Arkansas women’s golf team finished with a 225 (69-78-78) to tie for 30th at the August National Women’s Amateur. For the second consecutive year, José Marin participated in the final round at the ANWA.
Maria José Marin is one of 72 amateurs set to compete at the fifth playing of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, starting on Wednesday, April 3 and carrying through Saturday, April 6.
Playing in one of the most competitive events of the spring season, the No. 41 Kansas women’s golf team finished 15th at the PING/ASU Invitational at Papago Golf Course Phoenix. The Jayhawks carded a third-round 302 (+14) Saturday and posted a three-round score of 890 (+26).
