Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester area continues to experience a major moisture deficit, but some areas of southern Minnesota saw their deficits largely erased by Saturday s storms.
It appears the heaviest rain fell in south-central Minnesota and in the far southeast corner of the state. The National Weather Service is reporting almost 3 inches of rain at La Crescent, 2.7 inches in Preston, and almost 2.4 inches in Lanesboro.
To the west and northwest of Rochester, estimates put the rainfall totals at around 4-inches in an area between Mankato and Waterville. The same estimates also show around 4 inches of rain fell in the Faribault and Northfield areas.

Walz said, “We’ve had great success in our state so far with more than 2.5 million Minnesotans fully vaccinated, and we want to build on that success… So roll up your sleeves, make that vaccine appointment, and pick your reward, Minnesota this is your shot to summer.”
Participants will get to select from a list of rewards that include amusement park passes, Visa gift cards, Minnesota Zoo tickets, and State Fair tickets. See the full list of rewards below.
