Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester area continues to experience a major moisture deficit, but some areas of southern Minnesota saw their deficits largely erased by Saturday s storms.
It appears the heaviest rain fell in south-central Minnesota and in the far southeast corner of the state. The National Weather Service is reporting almost 3 inches of rain at La Crescent, 2.7 inches in Preston, and almost 2.4 inches in Lanesboro.
To the west and northwest of Rochester, estimates put the rainfall totals at around 4-inches in an area between Mankato and Waterville. The same estimates also show around 4 inches of rain fell in the Faribault and Northfield areas.
