Investigators continue search for cause of fire on Gomber Avenue

The Daily Jeffersonian Fire investigators continue to search for the cause of Thursday s blaze that caused extensively damage to  two unoccupied homes on Gomber Avenue in Cambridge. The intense heat from the fire also damaged three nearby residences. It is still under investigation, said Cambridge Fire Chief Jeff Deeks on Monday. We are waiting for the report from the Ohio Fire Marshal s Office to see what they have to say about the fire. Mike Stellfox is investigating the fire on behalf of the state agency. Deeks said Stellfox interviewed several nearby residents during the course of his investigation. He declined to say if the fire has been classified as suspicious.
