So far, we know more than two dozen homes have been damaged and it is being blamed for at least one death. Lets get the latest on this fire. Reporter i am here at the recreation center. We are about 13 miles east from portar ranch and that is the area where we are seeing the height of fire activity. What i can tell you is we are waiting for a 1 pm briefing. We are hoping for an update at that point on some of the statuses on this fire. It is a fatal fire. There is one fatality associated with this fire. We were learning this morning about that. Were told it was a man in his 50s who went into cardiac arrest. As for the acreage at this point, it still stands at 4700 containment at 0 . This is a very active fire. Four. Pg e has turned the power back onto about three quarters of its customers. 543,000 customers have their electricity back on. About 195 customers are still waiting for their power to be restored. Meantime authorities are investigating the death of a man in pines in El Dorado County which could be linked to these outages. Officials say the man in his 60s died shortly after his homeless power. He was dependent on an oxygen machine. There is an ongoing effort to restore power to all the customers who were affected.
