Weather alert in India: The first cyclone of the year 2023, Cyclone Mocha, is likely to form over the southeastern region of the Bay of Bengal this week, due to a developing low-pressure area in the area. The IMD said that there is the possibility of a summer cyclone in the Bay of Bengal around May 9, though its path and intensity remain uncertain.
The weather system is likely to take shape of a depression on Saturday and a a deep depression on Sunday before intensifying into a cyclonic storm on Monday.
