This comes as the state reported 71 new cases during the day, taking the cumulative tally of the infection in Odisha to 12,88,202. The death toll stood at 9,126 with no new fatality
Bhubaneswar: June 05: Odisha reported 7,395 fresh Covid Positive Cases in last 24 hours. Of this, 4,169 people were in quarantine and rest 3,226 are local contact cases.
Khurda District recorded 1069 cases in a day, followed by Cuttack 868 cases, Jajpur 516 cases, Angul 43 cases, Mayurbhanj 384 cases, Puri 356 cases, Kendrapara 341 cases, Jagatsinghpur 288 cases, Balasore 285 cases, Sundergarh 267 cases, Nayagarh 243 cases, Bhadrak 238 cases, Nawrangpur 196 cases, Bargarh 171 cases, Kalahandi 166 cases, Koraput 161 cases, Keonjhar 158 cases, Sambalpur 137 cases, Boudh 133 cases, Rayagada 125 cases, Malkangiri 110 cases, Sonepur 91 cases, Balangir & Dhenkanal 81 cases each, Kandhamal 76 cases, Ganjam 69 cases, Jharsuguda 66 cases, Deogarh 57 cases, Gajapati 52 cases and Nuapada 22 cases. Also, 145 cases were found from State Pool.
With this, total cases in Odisha increased to 8,06,094 and out of that, 7,24,402 patients have already recovered from the disease so far.

BHUBANESWAR: The state’s fresh Covid tally touched 8,914 on Monday with five districts each reporting more than 500 new infections on Monday. Cuttack, Puri and Khurda (including Bhubaneswar) have together been adding around 2,000 cases a day for the past few days.
However, for the first time after April 27, the fresh death toll came down to a single digit with five casualties. This has taken the state’s total Covid toll to 2,073. The districts with 500 plus cases are Cuttack (587), Khurda (1,258), Sambalpur (520), Puri (530) and Sundargarh (592).
