The Delhi High Court today sought to know from the Delhi government how it will ensure that liquor is not provided to underage persons on home delivery under the new excise policy.
The Delhi government on Wednesday informed the Delhi High Court that Aadhaar or some other age verification method will be mandated for home delivery of liquor as envisaged in the proposed changes to Delhi Excise Rules.
Delhi Excise (Amendment) Rules 2021: Home delivery of liquor on order through mobile app or online web portal - Delhiites will also be able to get liquor at open places like terraces, courtyards of clubs, bars attached to hotels, and independent restaurants.
