ORION TOWNSHIP, Mich. – An
Orion Township man was arrested for beating his pregnant girlfriend after a neighbor saw the woman trying to escape through a window of the mobile home, only to be pulled back in, according to police.
Oakland County deputies were called to a mobile home in the 30 block of Canary Hill Drive at 10:21 a.m. Friday (March 5).
A neighbor called police and told them a woman had made several attempts to exit the mobile home, only to be pulled back inside, deputies said.

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. – An Oakland County woman is warning residents after a terrifying scam that happened to her in February.
She received a phone call that said there was a warrant out for her and that she needed to pay up or she’d be taken to jail.
Then the scammers showed up on her doorstep.
Police believe this scam is happening all over Metro Detroit and are on the rise.
The woman asked Local 4 to conceal her identity.
She said the scam call offered to void her warrant if she cooperated.

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The suspect in Saturday’s barricaded gunman incident in Royal Oak was pronounced dead Sunday morning by a physician at William Beaumont Hospital, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Authorities identified the man as Jason Raymond Sugg.
Sugg was shot by police Saturday night after a several-hour standoff in Royal Oak.
