I have the pleasure of chairing the committee today. Many of you know that chair bernal serves as representative pelosis chief of staff. I also want to thank the commissioners. We have a fairly full agenda, but everyone submitted questions on many of the presentations, and weve gotten very thorough and thoughtful answers from staff, so hopefully that means we can go through our agenda in a very efficient way and we can go to our different activities of the evening. First item is the minutes. Are there any additions or corrections on the part of the commissioners . Okay. Any comments from the public . Clerk if youre on the Public Comment line, please press star, three if youd like to make a comment on the minutes. No comments, commissioners. Okay. What can it be . Well take you inside why. Heres our main story. The enemy is within. Nancy pelosi, speaker of the house, saying democrats are threatened by a cult of chaos rising within the ranks of the gop, listen. We will probably need a supplemental for more security for members. When the enemy is within the house of representatives. It is a party at war with itself. And the leaders now seem to have no control. The proof, you have the main republican in the house, kevin mccarthy. He told his caucus to get along. The next day, upstart Congressman Matt Gates went to the home state of liz cheney, number three in the caucus, and attacked her personally. If you want to prove that you have the power, defeat liz cheney in this upcoming election, and wyoming will bring washington to its knees. Maybe we ought to fight the neocons at home so we dont have to fight them in washington, d. C. But thats the problem, isnt it . Because the neocons are at home in washington, d. C. I had a chance to

If you heard the interview, you have the stats. Whats your take on the viability of the vaccine . This looks very exciting. I believe we will get an emergency use authorization than i hope we can start vaccinating sometime in december. Health care workers will likely go first. Moredown the road, people seriously affected like those 65 and older then months later, the general population. The modernact vaccine will be soon. We need all the help we can get. In terms of the effect that im going to get if i take the vaccine, is this something i will have to do on an annual basis or twice per year . What kind of response is my body going to generate that will protect me in the long term . Guest thats a longterm question. Get the vaccine into people first then we can follow them closely to determine whether we have to be
Just come on into the conversation if you like. What im hearing is that we actually have pretty much consensus on item number 1. Item number 2, i feel there is a pathway there. Item number 3, i believe it will take more work with the Sheriffs Department. As a board member, we dont have the authority to actually change the rules and procedures within the electronic monitoring in the Sheriffs Department, but we can actually help facilitate a conversation that we reach a consensus and agreement on how we can better serve those people, those clients we are serving. I think these three recommendations brought forth is an attempt to do that. Before we go any further and we lose some of our Public Commenters, i would like to open this up for Public Comment on items number one and two. Can you see how many speakers we have in the queue . My apologies everyone that this hearing has gone on for such a long time, but as i said, that we have continued this item, i think five times. I felt like we
