We begin with breaking news overnight, a huge fire along the famed Las Vegas Strip. It broke out at the Bellagio Hotel, one of the most Luxurious Hotels on the strip and in full view of people enjoying a balmy night in sin city. Overnight flames shooting into the night sky over the Las Vegas Strip. A fire ripping through a shopping area at the Bellagio Hotel. [ sirens ] firefighters getting the call around 10 45 local time. Las vegas boulevard, the strip, packed at the time with visitors. Many of them capturing the massive fire on social media. The flames raining down from the roof, but the fire despite being located just steps from the bellagios famed fountain was difficult for firefighters to knock down. The vegas strip shut down, it would be more than 20 minutes before fire crews could get the flames under control. At the same hotel just last month,
Was the crash on the bay bridge just past Treasure Island. The last time we looked at the camera, the crash was at a standstill. We have heavier traffic as you head back towards the bay bridge toll plaza and it has been extremely light. Thats one of our only slow spots here this morning. The Governments Defense surprised them, and they thought it was very weak. Protesters gathered outside the courthouse before the hearing worrying that the president s order would strip counties of more than a billion dollars in federal funding. In a surprise, the attorney for the federal government denied that saying his interpretation of the president s order is that the funding would be safe, only 1 million in grants in jeopardy. He contradict what the president has said. Those on the other side think this is a good sign. This last minute interpretation is not credible. In fact, i thought the federal government came off looking even more weak. They might have been better off just sitting silent. Reporter those against the order told the judge not to rely on this interpretation that they cant just hope that the Trump Administration would only take away grants.
