15yearold student, his daughter makes an emotional plea to her father. We just want you to come home. We miss you so much. His wife of 31 years talks about the secret note he left behind. And stuck in the sky. As a roller coaster comes to a screeching halt dozens of riders trapped 80 feet in the air. Stranded for hours on the jokers jinx ride. A dramatic rescue to bring them to safety went late into the night. We do say good morning, america, on this good friday and, whoo, some tense moments for those folks on the roller coaster. Im sure pretty tense. Good thing they werent upside down. Thats true, thats true. A long time up there. We also have a lot of news overnight to share with you. The u. S. Dropping that massive bomb on isis strongholds. 36 terrorists killed in the explosion. One of the questions this morning, what will be the Ripple Effect around the world . Also, a dark warning from north korea as it gears up for that possible nuclear test. President trump saying the country is a problem that will be taken care of. And the president is now at maralago for the threeday easter weekend. We are going to begin with tough comments from north korea. A top official there says they will go to war if thats what the u. S. Wants. They are blaming President Trumps aggressive tweets for escalating tension. Our chief Global Affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz just arrived in seoul and, martha, the entire region on edge right now. Reporter thats right, george. North korea could test a Nuclear Weapon at any time. It will most likely be tomorrow where there are celebrations in north korea. This would be the sixth underground nuclear test for north korea. But this is very different. They have made huge advances in their Nuclear Program and in their Missile Program and what else is different here, a Trump Presidency. This would be the First Nuclear test under a Trump Presidency and he has already drawn a red line and the rhetoric is very hot, george. He has also put an Aircraft Carrier into the region. Some talk of a possible preemptive strike. Reporter he has taken nothing off the table. A preemptive strike is, of course, a possibility but i think very unlikely with a nuclear test. But whats to look for, any time they test another missile, i suppose that is a possibility. And, martha, this north Korean Nuclear threat has bedeviled every single president going back to bill clinton. Reporter it really has, george. There is not a lot different this time with the Trump Presidency other than the rhetoric and i think the danger here is some sort of miscalculation if the rhetoric gets too hot but President Trump like any other president before him would like to solve this diplomatically with chinas help. Okay, thanks to martha for that. She will be anchoring this week sunday morning from south korea. We will be watching as always. Now to the reaction to that major news out of afghanistan. The u. S. Hitting isis with the largest nonNuclear Weapon ever dropped and abcs terry moran is in london, has the latest for us. Good morning, terry. Reporter good morning. Afghan witnesses living in areas miles away from where this bomb was dropped said that they could feel the earth shake and its been seen around the world as a message about american fire power to other adversarieadvers. This is the type of bomb the u. S. Used to strike at isis in eastern afghanistan. In this test video you can see its so huge its got to be dropped out of the hold of a c130 cargo plane tethered to a parachute before striking its target in a massive use of force. This was the right weapon against the right target. Reporter called a massive ordinance air blast, but its nickname, the mother of all bombs. At largest nonnuclear bomb the u. S. Has ever dropped in combat. The target a series of cave complexes in the achin district well suited to the rugged terrain and an air force spokesperson said one reason it was chosen was for maximizing the destruction of isis positions. We are so proud of our military and it was another successful event. Reporter President Donald Trump praised the operation. Turns out he didnt officially authorize the bomb itself. What i do is authorize my military. We have the greatest military in the world and theyve done a job as usual. So we have given them total authorization. Reporter use of the bomb did not require president ial approval. Top military commanders received newly enhanced authority to fight isis in afghanistan during the Obama Administration including deciding what weapons to use. President trump was asked if the use of the mother of all bombs was meant to send a message to north korea. I dont know if this sends a message. It doesnt make any difference if it does or not. North korea is a problem. The problem will be taken care of. I think china has really been working very hard. Reporter well, the use of this huge bomb along with the u. S. Missile strike in syria and deployment of the uss vinson are signs of a more muscular doctrine on the use of force in the trump administration. That is what were seeing. Thanks very much. Lets talk about the moab more, the most powerful conventional bomb in the u. S. Force. It has a blast radius of one mile. Its Mushroom Cloud can be seen from 20 miles away. Each one costs 16 million and so far the u. S. Has made 20 of them. Lets talk about it with Steve Ganyard who served in the pentagon and marine corps as a fighter pilot. This was developed ten years ago. Why use it now . Its the first time theyve had the opportunity where they had isis fighters isolated from the battlefield so the rules of engagement have not changed under President Trump. The u. S. Military still goes to Great Lengths not to hurt civilians so this is the first time they had it isolated where the blast would not affect civilians. This explodes across the surface. It goes across the surface. Here we have these fighters down in this deep valley, this is really rugged terrain so the blast was focused and pushed up into the caves to take out these fighters. If u. S. Fighters would have had to fight uphill and dig them out of the cave it would be dangerous so you could say they saved american lives. How do we find out the total impact here . The Afghan Government is saying it killed about 36 isis fighters. General nicholson in kabul a few minutes ago said the u. S. Has troops on the ground at the site right now so theyll go in and look for intelligence, theyll look for computer hard drives and things like that to see if they can figure out why and how isis has been operating in this area. Any fear of blowback here . As you said it saves american lives by taking out isis militants. The message it sends around the world is weve got to strike back now. It sends a message to isis but the real question as we watched as martha said we watch north korea here, was that heard on the other side of the world in pyongyang and will it make an impression on kim jongun . The answer . I think so. And finally here one of the things were seeing as terry said a more muscular approach from President Trump, he is giving military commanders on the ground a lot of leeway. He is. Well, the decisionmaking process has been devolved down so president obama controlled that very tightly at higher levels. What were see is Tactical Commanders can make decisions on the ground in iraq and afghanistan. Steve ganyard, thanks very much. So we know whats happening abroad. Here in the u. S. President trump is back in florida abcs s cecilia vega is in palm beach, florida for us. Good morning, cecilia. Reporter good morning to you. The president is already here, in fact, his son don jr. Is here also, tweeting photos from his arrival on air force one yesterday. This is, of course, a Holiday Weekend for President Trump. He will be celebrating easter here at maralago. He, in fact, doesnt have anything on his schedule today as he moves forward through the Holiday Weekend. Doesnt appear he brought any of his senior staff with him on this trip as global tensions are flaring around the world. We asked which military advisers would accompany the president on the trip to keep him abreast and they would not give us any names but we do know, robin, the president will keep a close eye especially on that situation in north korea from here in maralago today. No doubt, all right, cecilia. Have a good weekend yourself, thank you. Michael. Thank you, robin. To the overnight fire at the Bellagio Hotel in las vegas. The blaze shutting down the strip, firefighters responding within minutes to fight the fire. Abcs Kayna Whitworth has the details. Good morning, kayna. Reporter hey, michael, good morning. It was a huge fire at one of the most iconic spots on the Las Vegas Strip. The roof of the Bellagio Hotel erupting in flames just after 10 30 last night. The famous vegas strip packed with people, watching the flames burning over the bellagio fountain for about 20 minutes. Over 75 firefighters rushing to the scene getting the fire under control. Nobody was hurt but its causing a headache for guests and las vegas tourists, the strip closing to traffic near the casino until that blaze is under control. Now, the Bellagio Hotel one of the largest in the world with nearly 4,000 rooms. And as of now, Hotel Operations are running normally and operators there tell us the fire happened above the retail shops and, robin, this morning the cause is still being investigated. All right. Okay, kayna, thank you. Now to new revelations about that incident on that United Airlines flight where a doctor was dragged off the plane sparking international outrage. His daughter and lawyer speaking out about the serious injuries he suffered. Abcs rebecca jarvis, you know shes been on the story from the very beginning and has more. Good morning. Thank you, robin. Good morning to you. Weve seen those passenger videos, talked exclusively to the united ceo and now for the first time were hearing dr. Daos side of the story. His attorney saying dao is hoping recover quietly and never set foot on another airplane again. What happened to my dad should have never happened to any human being regardless of the circumstance. Reporter dr. David daos daughter alongside his lawyers for the first time speaking out about her fathers forcible removal from that now infamous united flight. We were horrified and shocked and sickened to learn what had happened to him and to see what had happened to him. Reporter in a press conference daos Attorney Says the doctor is out of the hospital and recovering in an undisclosed location dealing with a broken nose, concussion, two knocked out teeth and Sinus Problems that may require surgery. Will there be a lawsuit . Yeah, probably. Reporter daos lawyer says he sees a potential lawsuit as a way to push back against what he calls a culture of corporate bullies pointing to this moment from our exclusive interview with uniteds ceo oscar munoz. Do you think hes at fault in any way . No, he cant be. He was a paying passenger sitting on our seat and our aircraft and no one should be treated that way, period. He was asked point blank did dr. Dao do anything wrong . You know what he did, he hesitated. He hesitated. And in front of chicago lawmakers uniteds Vice President of operations at ohare repeated the companys public apology. United also released a new statement restressing their commitment to making the situation right and making sure this never happens again, robin. All right, rebecca, thank you. Our chief legal analyst dan abrams is here now. We apparently saw that the lawyer was watching rebeccas interview with the ceo. Whats the strategy behind holding that press conference yesterday . Well, look, i think that they are drawing a line in the sand and theyre making it very clear that theyre going to sue. But, look, i think what hes also trying to do is make it sound like this isnt just about the doctor. This is about all of you. Im going to be fighting for all of you. And yet lets be clear, changes are going to be afoot with or without this lawsuit. Federal investigators are looking into this and the country is sharing that video on social media. This says nothing about the lawsuit and the merits of it. The bottom line is change is going to happen, not because of this lawsuit. Typically civil lawsuits can lead to change, right. Companies wont make changes. They wont do things and people say the only way to hold them accountable is with a lawsuit. In this case theyre going to be held accountable in the court of public opinion. Because of that video. Because of that video. Exactly. And as we keep saying it was the police, not United Airlines that dragged him off that plane. Thats right and thats going to be the legal question is was the force used reasonable or unreasonable . I dont think its any question its going to be viewed as unreasonable. The Police Officers have been put on administrative leave, et cetera. But when youre talking about this legally, the question is going to be damages, right . And thats why his injuries are so important. Thats why his attorney was focusing on how much he suffered here because when youre talking about money damages, how badly you were hurt matters. Its an ugly thing to talk about, right, which is how much money is someone entitled to because their teeth were knocked out, et cetera. But those become the questions that juries have to grapple with every day when saying, how much should we award in a case like this . So, thats going to be the actions of the police but you can count on the fact that theyre going to want to lump united in with this as much as possible and hold them responsible. Quite a story. Dan, thank you. We have breaking news on that fugitive in wisconsin. Captured this morning after making threats against churches on easter sunday. Had he was considered armed and dangerous and is now in custody. Adrienne bankert has the details. Reporter local police thanking the more than 150 officers searching for the armed and dangerous fugitive on the run for ten days, now captured. Joseph jakubowski, the subject of an intensive tenday man hunt taken into custody. Police received a call at 9 30 last night reporting a suspicious person camping on a persons property. He refused to leave when asked to do so. This morning at 6 30 a. M. He was apprehended by tactical officers. The fbi had been searching for jakubowski since he sent that 161page manifesto to President Trump, then stole 18 guns from this store before burning up his car. The number of weapons he took, we feel that he is posing a threat. Reporter the search grew more urgent in recent days when investigators began looking into a separate letter mailed by someone claiming to be jakubowski directed at unspecified churches in the milwaukee area, threatening unspecified violence this easter sunday. Game time. Reporter milwaukee wtmj obtaining 35 pages from the fugitives handwritten letter, calling the government a gang of terrorists, writing we the people should be out for these sick minded people. We need to spill their blood, adding, i choose my death to be carried out by the hands of the president , not in secret either, on live tv. The original one did go to the white house. Reporter authorities speaking out thursday about the contents of those 161 pages. He speaks of his of the police being used to keep average citizens enslaved, religion as a whole is bad. Reporter and we know that jakubowski will be charged on three felony counts, including burglary. All of this coming to a peaceful conclusion ahead of easter services. George. Thank you. Absolutely. Thank you guys. Now to two dozen roller coaster riders in maryland who got a little longer ride than expected. They were stuck for hours 80 feet in the air and Abcs David Kerley is in Prince Georges County at the Amusement Park where it all happened. Good morning, david. Reporter good morning, michael. These thrill riders got a spring break scare yesterday when their roller coaster got stuck 100 feet in the air. Firefighters started the rescue with ladders and pulled Children First and then started bringing out the adults. The ride only lasts 1 15 and it took four hours into the darkness to get all the people off the roller coaster and the Amusement Park here is telling abc news the jokers jinx did not complete its regular ride cycle, causing it to stop at a safe location on the track, add that the ride will be closed for a thorough inspection before reopens and, michael, were told that most of the folks last night were actually calm so firefighters took their time getting them out. This isnt the first time this ride has had problems. Reporter no, in fact, back in 2014 the same ride also got stuck at about 75 feet into the air. They were able to get everybody off safely that time as well, michael. Thank you, david kerley. I couldnt imagine. Lets go to six flags this weekend. Im good. But thanks just the same. The wife and daughters of the teacher accused of kidnapping a student, that family is going public this morning, pleading for him to come home. Abcs eva pilgrim sat down with that family. Good morning, eva. Reporter robin, its been a month since these two were missing. Investigators have no idea where they could be. This morning tad cummins family says they just want him to come home. We had everything we ever wanted and i really truly believe that he loved me. Reporter this morning the wife of the tennessee teacher on the run accused of kidnapping his 15yearold student is breaking her silence. I go from feeling so hurt i cant function to really mad. Its very selfish of him to have done this to us so im mad part of the time and then sometimes i have this peace that comes from god and i do love him, but i dont trust him anymore. Hes totally betrayed me. Reporter 50yearold tad cummins is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with 15yearold elizabeth thomas. The pair missing for more than a month last spotted by this walmart surveillance camera in Oklahoma City on march 15th. Two days after they disappeared from columbia, tennessee, almost 700 miles away. Kind of like a death because the tad i knew is gone. Reporter jill cummins reported her husband of more than 30 years missing after finding a note at home. Did you realize all of a sudden that he had been lying about everything . At that moment then i knew that it was all a lie. Reporter jill thought her husband was mentoring elizabeth. She and her husband even taking the teen to church. She would come to him with her problems about her past. I think its a question that a lot of people have. They see that you knew her, that you interacted with them then they say how did she not know something was up. I think a lot of people didnt know. He was friendly with everyone. I mean, a caring person. Reporter investigators say tad cummins planned his escape searching age of consent and how to marry a teen. With no credible sightings for weeks, authorities think the two are staying out of the public eye. Did you ever hear him talking about being off the grid or we used to watch tv shows together about that sort of thing. Did he even have camping gear . Not really. A little bit but he didnt take it with him. Reporter the car they were last seen in, this silver nissan suv. His wifes car he took. Why do you think he left . I think he left because he was so ashamed of what had happened. He couldnt face me or anyone and he didnt want to face the consequences and so he thought that was his only choice. Was just to leave. Reporter tad cummins didnt just leave behind his wife, he also left behind his two children. His daughter erica says she saw her dad the night before he disappeared. He left and kissed me on the head and he looked in my eyes and went on like normal. Reporter his daughters with a message for their dad this morning. Theres one thing that he has reminded us for our entire life and thats romans 8 28 and that is god uses all things for the glory of those that love the lord and are called according to his purposes. And that means even this. No matter where you are, daddy, no matter what youve done we just want you to come home. We miss you so much. Were here for you no matter what anytime, anyplace, anywhere. Reporter while his wife has now filed for divorce she says she is hopeful he will come home. Do you still love him . Of course, i love him. I forgive him and i still love him but that doesnt mean i could ever trust him again because he betrayed my trust to a point that is totally broken. Reporter his family is hopeful he will hear their message and both will return home safely. They say they just hope that this ends peacefully. Robin. We all do, all right, eva, thank you. We want to bring in abc news consultant and former fbi special agent, brad garrett. Hes joining us from washington. And its been more than a month now since the two have been since they disappeared. If they havent already done so, should authorities change their search tactics . The problem, robin, in highprofile cases is you are flooded with leads that are worthless. And i think they have like 1400 leads, theyve whittled down to 300plus. But if you dont have a direction of flight and you dont have any hook, a hook like a telephone call, an email message, a text, instagram, you name it, that will pull investigators a particular direction, you know, geographically, youre a bit stuck. So, where do you go . You go to where tad has a history, whether its in this country or someplace else, and you look to see if possibly they have moved in that direction. You have one flight direction obviously to oklahoma, but thats now a month old so its really a big problem, i will tell you, in narrowing the search. That search, you said, yes, they were spotted at that walmart in oklahoma but other than that they have not been seen and there have not been hits on their credit card or bank withdrawal. How do you think theyve been able to stay off the grid . Theres a number of ways. Did tad prelocate food, shelter, money, et cetera. He apparently took like 34,000 or 5,000 with him. Thats not going to last very long. So, the sense is in my mind they have gotten to some location, whether that be to the west in the united states, could they have gotten into mexico or canada . Of course, they could have. There are remote places you can cross without going through customs and border protection. And at some point you need food. You need shelter. All these things involve other people and so that is the hope that theyll be spotted somewhere, right . Robin, thats what catches fugitives. We all need those three things and our ability to reach out in this fugitive capacity is very limited because somebody is going to spot us, so, you know, eventually assuming this is not ended badly, im hoping thats not the case, that theyll be found. Were all hoping that it hasnt ended badly. Brad, thank you very much. Thank you, robin. Coming up, outrage is growing over one contestants outing of another on survivor. Nothing like this has ever happened in the shows 34 seasons. The show is known for its backstabbing and infighting but this was unprecedented and deeply personal and now the shows first transgender contestant is speaking out. Its being called one of the worst things to ever happen on reality television. There is deception here. Yeah. Deception on levels, jeff, that these guys dont even understand. Reporter survivor contestant jeff varner outing fellow contestant zeke smith as transgender in front of the entire cast, cameras rolling. Why havent you told anyone youre transgender . Reporter the tribe reacting in outrage. What im showing is a deception. But thats personal. It has nothing to do with reporter the revelation came as varner, a 50yearold Real Estate Broker fought to stay on the aisle. Smith a 29yearold new york based asset manager first reacting in stunned silence. Then explaining why he chose not to share his gender identity with the group. Because i didnt want to be like the trans survivor player but zeke the survivor playing. Reporter later telling cbss the talk about his shock. There was this primal instinct that said run. But i knew i couldnt run because i came to survivor to confront great challenges. I think this is as painful and awkward a thing as has ever happened on survivor and reinforced centuries of prejudice against trans people by making it seem like being trans is inherently deceptive. Reporter in a statement, cbs says they consulted with glaad and smith about airing the episode, adding, we believe this episode has provided an unexpected but important dialogue about acceptance and treating transgender people with respect. After the episode aired, varner posted a lengthy apology on twitter writing, let me be clear, outing someone is assault. It can leave scars that haunt for a lifetime. I am profoundly sorry. In the end varner was forced off the island. But not before offering smith a contrite hug. I knew that it was up to me whether or not that night devolved into yelling or chaos or we could all rise above and find something positive in it. Reporter while smith has forgiven varner he said it doesnt require friendship. In a statement, glaad says it is dangerous and unacceptable to out a transgender person. One thing that smith notes, this wasnt about deception. He said this is about him living authentically, which is the complete opposite. Glaad thought it was okay to air the episode . They worked with them and made sure smith had an opportunity to speak his mind and went on the talk and wrote a piece for the hollywood reporter. They are happy with the way it was handled. Thats important. Over to michael. George, coming up on our big board, the saturday night live scandal. Did the show steal another comedians skit . Hmm. Whenever youre ready. Am i early . No. No one else is showing up . Huhuh. Okay. So you want me to just run it for you . Yeah. So, what do you think . Dont put me in the middle of this. It all centers around someone is bored at home and orders a clown. She put that out in 2015. He did it just this past weekend. She claims absolutely the similarities are too close and snl has been accused of this time and time again. They have. Now, why this is big, tig notaro is the most high profile person to ever accuse them of stealing a joke. So, why i mean i agree, a lot of similarities in that but why does tig and others think its more than just a coincidence . First you look at it and she found out that somebody who worked on that skit for him actually somebody who was well aware. She knows knew about the production of her skit. Worked on both. Yeah. The rest of the statement, i did find it expecting. I hesitated to even address any of this but i think it is only right to defend my work and my ideas. She might not have any recourse necessarily because its hard legally to prove plagiarism on this level because parallel thinking. Everybody is coming up with new material, great minds think alike but its not a good look with somebody this high profile accusing the bow hee moth of comedy, snl, of stealing their work. One of the biggest comedians, louis c. K. In the middle of it as well. Thank you, t. J. That beard. Somebody had to see it. I left it alone. Plagiarizing my beard. All right, our next story, an 18yearold football star, well, shes kicking her way into the history books this week. Becca longo, High School Senior in arizona, became the first female to earn a scholarship with a Top Tier College team, the field goal kicker signing a letter of intent with adams state university. There it is. You can see it right there, and shes joining us from her new college in colorado. Becca, we have to applaud you and say, well, well done, congratulations. And when you finally thank you. When you finally got the news you heard about this moment, how excited were you . I didnt believe that it was true. I just remember sitting there and coach todd saying i was the first girl to ever do that and anybody who watched the video can see my jaw like hit the floor. I was so blown away. And, you know, everyone is making a big deal out of it. You just want to get out there and play football and everybody is looking through the record books. Theyre saying, oh, this is a first. There have been walkons and other women to do it in similar capacities but never a full ride like this. When did you think this could be a possibility . When did it become you started playing late in high school, right . Yeah, i started playing my sophomore year and then i transferred schools so i had to sit out my junior year and i didnt get to play until my senior year so i only really played two seasons and i didnt really expect to play after high school until sort of the middle of my senior season which is like kind of late. But you had some medical setbacks as well. What made you keep going . It would have been easy to say im injured, this is a boys sport, but you kept pushing for it. What made you do that . Yeah, well, the doctors told me that i couldnt play sports ever again and i just kind of like used that as motivation to prove them wrong. And i love both of my sports too much to just give up and spent too much time and money and effort to let it go. Whats your message for a little girl watching and going to her mommy going, shes playing football in college. Shes got a scholarship. What is your message for little girls who maybe want to play football or anything that they dont normally see someone like themselves doing . I just want them to go out and do whatever they love to do. If they want to play football, go out and play football. If they want to play hockey they can go out and play hockey. Just dont listen to all the negativity because youre going to get a lot of it and just go do what you love. A great message. And youre doing it. Thanks for getting up early. Yes. Congratulations again. Very happy for you, becca. Very happy for you. Very happy for that beard, t. J. Thank you. Ill shave on monday, okay, robin. No, keep it. Thanks to everyone. Our good friend singing sensation turned broadway showstopper josh groban. [ cheers and applause ] wow. Hi. You put on some weight. Hey, baby. Hello. Hollow. I dont know who has more padding, me or the easter bunny. This is like one of those weird dreams you have, so i was at the desk at Good Morning America and im dressed as pierre from war and peace. It was nuts. The show is based on the book war and peace. Truth be told how many of us have read war and peace . You did . I read just through where the musical ends, its a i saw the miniseries which was wonderful. Its based on a 70page slif, brilliant composer dave malloy was reading it and found this section he thought would be turned so beautifully into a musical where theres this love triangle and pierre is having this fight with himself and the world and so, yeah, he was inspired by that one section. If it was pierre not josh talking on the show right now, how would you greet us . With a chug of champagne and a burp and a great pity for all of you and your vanities. Good to know your audience. Digging the beard. Loving that but im hearing not everyone, like your manager wanted to you clean up a little bit why . I feel these arent even predescription, by the way. I feel like ive always wanted to grow one but i never had an excuse to so, yeah, the fact that i needed to have kind of a tolstoyian russian beard keeps me warm. This has been a very cold winter and its nice. I can hide coins and snacks. Yeah. Look, im going im probably going to shave it off when the show is done but for the moment im enjoying going method with it. I like it. [ applause ] look, when you walked out i said you have on a fat suit. A little pudge here. Got some pudge here and some junk here. Yeah, do you in and the costuming in this show is unbelievable. I mean, every detail of our set, at the imperial as youll see, this is truly the most brilliant cast of musicians and articles that ive ever had the pleasure of working with and youll see their cost opportunities. One has this beautiful white coat. Its incredible. You cant help but fall into the world when you get ready. Speaking of falling the fat suit, winter coat, fur coat it helped you because you fell into the okay tra pit. Our stage for those that come to see it theres lot of stairs and lots of areas where you can hurt yourself in the way that our set designer designed this immessive 360degree world this there but theres lots of places you can strain your ankle and trip. I fell right into the pit during a drunken dance manuroment. You werent really drunk. No. Cleaning that up for people at home. I was just acting drunk. Yes. But in my acting of drunkenness i did, i fell into i fell right into the drum set but i didnt feel a thing. It was wonderful. A lot of big guests coming by. Yeah, and the thing is when youve got seats that are literally at your knees every night, you cant just you cant hide in the darkness of the theater so when theres a celebrity that you admire, its very nerveracking. One of my favorite people we had dr. Neal degrasse tyson. Im a big diabetes buff and i think hes just brilliance and our show is called Natasha Pierre the great comet of 1812 so why not have a brilliant astrophysicist out there and i got to sing the word parabola for him. I was there. You were hidden. Its easy. I was wondering does anyone ever fall into the audience because it is really cool how they set this up. Youre doing the play within the audience. Definitely. So fun for the audience to be a part of it. Sometimes they get really involved and sometimes theyre like why did i pay for this seat and it depends on the mood of each audience member how much we give them shakers for one song, sometimes they get a little overzealous and a little grab by but, again, i dont feel it so its fine and, you know, its a wonderful time and the thing is, you foe, eight shows a week because of that immessiveness you never know what our getting to get out. Youre so well known for your beautiful singing voice but when we go to the show youve changed it. Its a little rougher. It was a big challenge for me vocally to dive into the world of this character who is very fringy. Hes not angelic. He has moments of great bliss with his singing and purity with his singing but he appears rough around the edges and like i said he agos drunk and belligerent and a bull in a china shop so to find the balance where i could sing with gruffness and do it healthfully was an amazing challenge. Wonderful youre here and your cast is here. Hes youre going to experience it because when they come weve seen the rehearsal here in the studio. Youre going to feel like youre right there. You might get spit on a little bit. Thank you, josh. Thank you. You can see josh and the great comet until july 2nd and the shows album goes on presale today. Cant wait for that performance. [ applause ] coming up next my good friend Ernie Johnson from inside the nba revealing his unscripted story. Were talking basketball, family, overcoming obstacles and a whole lot back now on Good Morning America. Did you know what time it is, kiefer . No . Its time for the pollen report. Thats right, brought to you by claritin. I know, its exciting. Kiefer waits for it every friday he said. Such a nice stretch this spring. Look, everybody is starting to feel it. The allergies and its been rough all around. Look at the tree pollen, tree and grass gets me. Is that and now we are joined by geoff stults starring in the new thriller unforgettable. Lets take a clip. You should have never have brought her here. I made one mistake. And you took everything away from me. Stop. And gave it all to her right in front of me. There is some drama in there. Katherine heigl. Rosario dawson. Youre between the two ladies and have the onscreen daughter isabella. What was it like. I learned quickly to keep my mouth shut. I was terrified the whole time. Katherine heigl does crazy really good. Katherine is scary. You had kind of a fight. Yeah, i mean that character was something that she worked hard on. She had to wear it. Its a lot of preparation. Her posture, the way thee carried herself. I didnt like being around her till the end of the day when she kale out its uncomfortable scary. She does a wonderful job. She does. You guys get in some altercat n altercations which if you see the show i always call movies show. Its like im an old timer. You went from an all women cast to now going to all the dudes, Chris Hemsworth and michael pena. So dreamy. Actually i just want to be the first one to come out and officially say it, its all a lie. Hes not charming or good looking. Its a fake accent. Hes not perfect. Honestly its all camera trickery. You ride a horse better than him is what i heard. Geoff stults, thank you for being here. Everybody, unforgettable hits theaters april 21st. Robin, well head up to you. Good company there and i have Great Company here as well. My dear friend Ernie Johnson, he is a threetime sports emmy award winner. The host of the popular show tnts inside the nba but he is revealing in his new book unscripted the unpredictable moments that make life extraordinary. Will you please welcome my good friend. Thank you. Love you, love you. I brought you yet another copy. I read it on vacation and thought i would do the courtesy, read it cover to cover. You are such well phenomenal broadcaster. But an even better human being, father, husband. Im going to give you 0 minutes to quit talking like that. So tell people what motivated you to write this. I think it was actually what happened, robin, a couple of years ago, e 60 did a piece on our family and have a lot of lacey from adoption to special needs kids to the special relationship my dad and i had and a battle with cancer i went through at one point and took it to the next step and said its time to write a book. The one everybody has been saying when are you going to write that book and instead of waiting i did it now and my wife and i just hope that it that it would speak to people who were at that situation. Should we adopt . What if we have a special needs child . What do you do when the doctor says its cancer . And so really its not a sports book. You know, its not like heres what we do on our show. Thats kind of the background and the rest of it is real life and how weve navigated some pretty tough times and basically said, look, when the unscripted comes up, you embrace it, you dont run away from it. I love how you said layers and thats what life is. Just different layers as my mom said different seasons, you write so eloquently about everybody who has impacted your life. Your daddy. The voice of the atlanta brave, a great pitcher himself. The lessons that you learned from your father you wanted to share with people. Yeah, you know what, because robin and i worked together or worked at opposing stations in the well, in a different decade. A different decade, 1980s. In the 1980s we were both in the atlanta market at the time. But, yeah, my dad was a great broadcaster. He was he taught me everything about being a husband and a father and a man. And a professional. And he always just said be yourself and he said, dont think youre special because of the job you have. He said always take the high road. He said dont get in a fight with a skunk. It was always this kind of encouragement he gave me but you say the voice of the braves and really one of the stories that really happened skip heres the voice of the braves, and he said, skip, if its okay were all the voice of the braves and it was that kind of humility and it wasnt like he lectured me. I just watched him and i think as parents these days i think we all have to remember that kids have superpowers. They see and hear everything. So theyre watching you all the time to see how you react in this situation, in that situation. You dont have to preach to them. Youre modeling it and so its been i wrote the book to honor my dad and youve done just that. Also a lot of people know you from that studio show with shaq and with kenny and chuck. And all that. How because they got big personalities. How do you keep them all in check. Stipes you dont. In yes, right. Sometimes its better to let them go and try to rein them back in and people say, hey, youre the traffic cop on that show and i say, no, im kind of like the rogue traffic cop because a really good traffic cop at an intersection doesnt want any fender benders. Me, i wave kenny into the intersection knowing shaq is it going to tbone him stow i would be on administrative leave hors doeuvre duty in nba finals nba playoffs tart tomorrow. In he predictions . Id be surprised if golden state doesnt win the whole thing. Ah. You heard it here first. Golden state going hard to beat that team four times. And its hard to beat the kind of guy you are. Here he is as busy as he is out promoting the book, has the playoffs and his wifes birthday yesterday and he took her out to dinner. Look. There we were last night. 35 years this summer.
