NORWALK, Conn. (AP) Reeds Inc. (REED) on Monday reported a loss of $4.5 million in its first quarter.
The Norwalk, Connecticut-based company said it had a loss of 5 cents per share.
The beverage and candy company posted revenue of $12.1 million in the period.
In the final minutes of trading on Monday, the company s shares hit 96 cents. A year ago, they were trading at 66 cents.

Melding natural science with art, Prosek’s work has been shown worldwide, notably at London’s Royal Academy of Arts, and at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington D.C. His latest book is Art, Artifact, Artifice (Yale University Press; 2020). Commemorating Charles Darwin’s birthday which falls on Feb. 12, Prosek’s presentation will address “Making Sense of the Natural World through Art.”
