BOMA to consider another Northfield sale extension

The Daily Herald The pending sale of the Northfield Workforce Development Center remains uncertain, and the city must now consider a possible extension of the previously proposed contract. The 350,000-square-foot facility, in which the city took ownership for $8.18 million in 2017, was initially purchased with the intent to relocate to the site, the Spring Hill Public Library, Spring Hill police headquarters and other various city departments. In March of last year, BOMA voted 5-4 to sell the property for $9.2 million to potential buyer Worldwide Stages (WWS) to revamp the facility into a state-of-the-art rehearsal facility for touring bands and entertainment acts.

Spring Hill BOMA votes to begin search for new city administrator

The Daily Herald SPRING HILL  As city staff searches for solutions following the resignation of its planning director and city engineer, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen is now tasked with finding a new city administrator. During last month s regular meeting of the Municipal Planning Commission, planning director Steve Foote and city engineer Tom Wolfe announced they would be resigning from their respective positions. Soon after, city administrator Victor Lay announced he too would be leaving, taking a job as town manager of Nolensville. His last day is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 18. Lay was first hired as Spring Hill s city administrator in October of 2009.
