Nurses warn more staff needed to prevent ED violence

The NSW Nurses and Midwives Association (NSWNMA) stated while the state government s long-awaited release of its final report into hospital security is welcomed, they fear it won t be enough unless additional nurses are employed. Byron-based medical cannabis group lands $92 million deal

ANTG CEO Matt Cantelo said this was a huge step for the industry in Australia, given the EU s advancement in medical cannabis legislation and its strict regulations on imports. This is a major win for the industry in Australia, Mr Cantelo said. While the German cannabis industry is still in its infancy, it is the third largest market globally behind the US and Canada. We are the first local growers to crack the EU market, which currently receives the majority of imported products from Canada and The Netherlands. Now that we have the gold standard in growing and manufacturing medicinal cannabis - in line with the most stringent in the world - it means our product also qualifies for export to every other nation.

Why a medical cannabis pioneer is moving to the North Coast

Premium Content Subscriber only A company recently granted the first licence in NSW to produce large amounts of medicinal cannabis oil is moving its headquarters to the Byron Shire. CEO and founder of Australian Natural Therapeutics Group, Matt Cantelo, has already moved his own life to the region and will soon be followed by his head office team. This will place the company much closer to its growing plant near Armidale. I think Byron Bay and the Northern area in general has established itself globally as a place of health and wellness, Mr Cantelo said. He said ANTG was looking to potentially expand its operational work within the local region.
