Emergency departments across Perth were working under pressure in the lead-up to the weekend with ambulances ramped outside all major hospitals on Friday.
Nine ambulances were waiting to offload patients outside Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital on Friday afternoon, with the ED operating beyond capacity. Some had been stationed outside the door for three hours.
