Hampton man dies from injuries sustained in head-on crash

Police announced Tuesday that 67-year-old Frank Shedd died March 2 at 3:02 p.m.
Police said the crash occurred at 12:22 p.m., Monday, Feb. 22 on Atlantic Avenue, on the rail-trail overpass, just east of 233 Atlantic Avenue.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Shedd was driving a 2006 Toyota Camry when he crossed the center lane and struck a 2014 Jeep Cherokee driven by Mercedes McCoy, 22, also of Hampton.
Shedd was transported by North Hampton Fire and Rescue to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious injuries. McCoy was transported to the Portsmouth Regional Hospital Emergency Room in Seabrook by Hampton Fire and Rescue, where she was treated and released.
