The participants, who included city government employees, Philippine National Police personnel, and Sangguniang Kabataan and barangay officials, walked a one-kilometer stretch from the main road of Barangay San Francisco to the planting site in the same village. They planted at least 3,500 assorted fruit-bearing tree seedlings as well as "kamagong" and "baligang" on a public land. Rosal has again been chosen by the United Nations, Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO) as one of the most outstanding city chief executives in the country. Rosal bagged the same UNESCO award in 2018. The National Coordinating Body of UNESCO Clubs in the Philippines, Inc. (NCBUCPI) sent a letter to Rosal dated Nov. 29, 2021, signed by its president, Prof. Ronel Villanueva, and chairperson Dr. Serafin Arviola Jr., informing that he is one of the 2021 Outstanding UNESCO Club public servant awardees in the "Good Governance" category. Rosal, in an interview on Wednesday, said he was invited by UNESCO to virtually attend the 2021 International Assembly of Youth for UNESCO (Y4U) and awarding ceremony on December 12 via Zoom to be hosted by the Philippine National Commission of UNESCO. Another international airport in Luzon is expected to open within the year.

Department of Transportation DOTr) secretary Arthur Tugade recently led a team that conducted an ocular visit to the Bicol International Airport (BIA) in Barangay Alobo, Daraga, Albay which is said to be almost 80% complete.
A data released by the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) in Bicol reveal that construction works for the airport is now 76.8% complete. The project actually started in 2008 but technical glitches and the damages caused by typhoons in the area hindered its development.
