Veronica wants to operate her own street carts, selling goods. These are Small Businesses and we as a city need to do whatever we can to get the proper permits, to make sure they are safe. And hot dog cart downtown, and shes been victim of assault and harassment. She says that a woman recently pushed her cart over, knocking over everything on it so she came to see how the city can protect her and her colleagues. We want our vendors to earn an honest living and to be able to do so safely and we need to maintain public trust and peoples access to the right of way.
