fbusch@nujournal.com As the temperature neared 70 degrees under sunny skies, worshippers prayed the Stations of the Cross at the Way of the Cross in New Ulm on Good Friday. The 14 stations depicting the Passion and Crucifixion of Jesus are housed in the small enclosures along the route, leading to a small chapel at the top of the hill behind the New Ulm Medical Center. William F Bill Seemann | News, Sports, Jobs

William F. “Bill” Seemann New Ulm Bill Seemann, 82, of New Ulm peacefully passed away at his home in the warm embrace of his family on Feb. 3. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Bill was born on July 14, 1938 to Cora and Amor Seemann. Bill is survived by his wife Joanne of New Ulm. They were blessed to be married for 63 years. They had 5 children. Todd (Jodi) Seemann of Cass Lake, Keri (Keith) Doetkott of Arlington, Kimi (Doug) Pomplun of Fairfax, Troy (Kim) Seemann of Hutchinson, and Kathi Lietzau. They have 15 gandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Also survived by one brother Dennis (Claudia) Seemann of Edina and one sister Jane (Jim) Krzmarzick of Owatonna.

Mia was born 3 a.m. Monday, January 4, in Lafayette making her the 2021 New Year’s baby for the region. NEW ULM Mia Theres Kimec was born at 3 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2021, in Lafayette making her the first baby of the year born in this region. Mia’s parents John and Lindsay Kimec had planned to have the baby at New Ulm Medical Center. They were surprised she was a new year’s baby because her due date was January 10, but little Mia had different plans.
