NEW LENOX, IL Republicans running on the Citizens for New Lenox Township slate had a strong election Tuesday, as all the slate s candidates are the projected winners for their races.
The projected winners include: Dave Medema as township clerk; Ronald Sly as highway commissioner; Philip Juarez as township collector; and Martin Boban, Barbara Kaupas, Kathy Hilton and Patricia Deiters as township trustees.

Tuesday s election results are unofficial until certified by the county on April 27.
Provisional Ballots cast on Election Day and all late Vote By Mail Ballots postmarked by Election Day will be counted at Provisional Count on April 20.

NEW LENOX, IL Election Day is almost here. There are several elections in New Lenox for school districts, township, park district, village board, fire district, and library, although many candidates are running uncontested.
Contested races in New Lenox include the race for New Lenox District 122 Board of Education, New Lenox Community Park District Board of Commissioners, Lincoln-Way District 210 Board of Education, and several positions for New Lenox Township.
