नेपाळच्या निवडणूक आयोगाने मध्यावधी निवडणुकीचे वेळापत्रक जाहीर केले आहे. निवडणूक प्रक्रिया 15 जुलैपासून सुरू होणार आहे. वेळापत्रकानुसार राजकीय पक्षांना 15 ते 30 जुलैदरम्यान निवडणूक आयोगात नोंदणी करावी लागेल. नोंदणीसाठीचे अर्ज जुलैच्या अखेरीस मंजूर केली जातील आणि 7 ऑगस्ट रोजी नेपाळ गॅझेटमध्ये याची माहिती प्रकाशित होईल.

The world has reached the era of Covid-19 “vaccine apartheid
.” That was the warning this week from World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. Nepal is now ground zero.
Nepal has surpassed India in terms of Covid-19 deaths per capita, and is far ahead of other south Asian countries. About 40% of Covid-19 tests are coming back positive. With fewer than 2,000 ICU beds and 600 ventilators for a population of 30 million, Nepal’s health care system is collapsing. As a member of the Nepali Parliament (G.K.T.) who represents a hard-hit area of Kathmandu and a U.S. physician-researcher who has collaborated with colleagues on strengthening health systems for 15 years, we implore action.

Nepal s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is expected to seek a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives on May 10 to prove that he continues enjoying majority support in the lower house after the CPN (Maoist Centre) led by Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda withdrew support to his government.
A special session of the lower house of Nepali Parliament has been called for Monday when Prime Minister Oli will attempt to secure confidence votes of the 275-member house to prove that he enjoys majority support within the government to sustain power and consolidate his grip in the party.
