Understanding there may be reactions but does not want to prejudice the jury in any way. I am another hour in the parking lot of the courthouse among the scores of correspondence, i think the reaction is fair to say characterized as not surprised by this verdict. The evidence sorry were you breaking in. I was just intrigued by the reaction. Not surprised. Continue your thought. Yeah, i mean the the prosecutions case as you have been discussing there was that holmes was sane that this extensive planning this methodical preparation indicated and his efforts to conceal his actions indicated that he was sane, and aware the fact that he sought been was still seeking treatment indicated that he was in what they call a state of psychotic ambivalence unable to determine whether he should move forward but obviously the jury rejected that argument, did so very quickly, after only 13 hours less than a day and a half of deliberation, and is rushing as we are hearing a verdict guilty on all counts
Obviously are very personal opinions. As a member of our military, i truly believe that there are some things that are more important than me, which is why necessary, if sacrifice myself for the things that we believe in as americans, our constitution, freedom, democracy, our rights, our way of life. And i know that theres a certain amount of risk thats inherent in that, not necessarily as being a service member. But democracy is necessarily open. That is one of the Cultural Values that we have. If if wewonder some of what and it means to be american, some of what it means to be america, in our response to try to assure citizens of security. Theres no such thing as perfect security. Got littlee i said, girls and theres a line in finding nemo. If you never let anything happen to them, then nothings ever going to happen to them. So its kind of a cute way to going to be were america and everything that america stands for, we cant, as citizens, expect our government to provide 100 security
