Inconsistent council wheelie-bin waste collection systems across Australia will begin to be standardised from April.
The policy was contained in the National Plastic Plan, which was launched in Brisbane on Thursday by federal Environment Minister Sussan Ley and federal Waste Reduction Assistant Minister Trevor Evans.
Australia will begin to unify the wide range of wheelie bins collection services after a meeting of environment ministers in April.
