Nicole, what have you learned . Reporter yeah, john, Phoenix Police have identified a gunman in this case as 19yearold Maliq Thompson who is still on the run tonight. Police say he came here to this apartment complex and shot a woman several times. Now, the two know each other, and the victims coworkers are saying the victim was the gunmans mentor. Police say this person, 19yearold Maliq Thompson, tried to kill a woman thursday afternoon. The shooting happened Affordable Housing complex, where the victim, whose name is valerie, worked. Valerie is an employee of you mom new day centers, a Phoenix Organization that supports homeless and low income families. She actually worked in our Youth Program and coordinated some of our Childrens Services that we have here. Reporter at this point, a motive for the shooting has not been released.
