It was 6 30 when a man knocked on the door. A woman inside walked up thinking it was a fellow coworker. The man waved a gun and the worker ran to the back of the store and thats when a single shot was fired. My initial reaction was, oh, no, not again. John mcdonald is with the Business Association and he spent the morning alerting other stores in the area and applauds the workers who at the time were getting the store ready for opening. The folks here are very theyve had incidents over the years, and i think theyre well schooled in how they handle it. Mcdonald says over the holidays there were crimes committed here but never with a gun. A store manager declined to comment and referred us to the corporate office. We spotted several surveillance cameras along the front of the building and now police are hoping to retrieve a clear image of the shooter. With fire danger. Sky force 10 over a brush fire in south jersey just one of several happening in our area. The problem could spread because of the hot weather and dry conditions. They are warning people that something as simple as a cigarette toss out of your window or a cars catalytic converter could spark a major brush fire. Engaged in a fierce and violent gun battle. Reporter investigators say 50 shots in all were fired as officer wild moved side to side shooting at both men. The violent scene all caught on four surveillance cameras. Officer wilson was shot multiple times in the body and once in the head. Reporter police say the two suspects tried to leave, but were confronted by wilsons partner who was outside the store. Investigators tell us wilsons partner got into a shootout with hipp wounding him in the leg. The second suspect gave us a statement, a full confession upstairs. He said he never saw the police car.
