A search is under way for a spearfisher whose gear was found in waters along a NSW South Coast beach.
NSW marine police say the equipment was found by a fisherman about 150 metres off Narrawallee Beach Headland, near Mollymook, about 3pm on Tuesday.

An air search began on Tuesday and is expected to continue when conditions improve on Wednesday.
Police have completed a land and sea search of the Narrawallee Headland area but failed to find the owner of the equipment.
