EL PASO, Texas Summer is just around the corner and there s no better way to beat the heat than going for a dip in the water - whether it be Ascarte Lake, floating down the Rio Grande, or just in your backyard pool.
Getting back in the water comes with some reminders from the Drowning Prevention Coalition of El Paso on how to respect the water. The number one safety precaution for your kids is to get them swimming lessons. And to get those swimming lessons very early, specifically by the third grade, explained Chandra Edwards-Cottingham, co-owner of Wet N Wild Water World.
