The disqualification of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha saw an aggressive reaction from young cadres in the capitals of Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh and BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh on Friday.
On the day the BJP government launched its new youth policy and made a flurry of announcements for young people, the Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress cited National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) figures to say that during the past 17 years of BJP rule, 10,298 students and 6,999 unemployed persons died by suicide in the state.
Six persons were arrested for allegedly thrashing a youth after tying him to a tree in Madhya Pradesh s Narmadapuram district, a police official said on Thursday.
