You can see pockets of moderate to heavy rain across the bay area and we have Flash Flood Warnings in effect right now. One here in San Mateo County until 6 30 p. M. Up in the north bay, several Flash Flood Warnings in effect. A large portion of napa county until 8 00 p. M. Southern sonoma until 6 15 and a portion of marin county until 8 30. Look at the outbreak of heavy downpours in the east bay out over highway 24 toward walnut creek, over 680 between walnut creek and san ramon. Farther north up around concord along portions of highway 4. Now, over the south bay and the peninsula its just one blob of steady rain. Its a mess there. Up in the north bay all kinds of flood concerns as pockets of heavy rain continue. This current storm still ranks 2 on the storm impact scale through 8 00 this evening. We will start in where we have the flooding in and around napa and sonoma. Saint helena. The napa river is expected to go above flood stage by nine this morning. Expected to reach almost 19 feet. Flood stage is 16. You can expect flooding. Going through today. Its expected to go down tonight. For the napa area its expected to reach just above flood stage about noontime today. Minor flooding expected in the napa river in the lower areas. Be careful. A widespread Flash Flood Watch until four this afternoon for ponding on the water. Mudslides and we are seeing it. Rapid rises on the streams, creeks and rivers. Here is where we are experiencing flooding for today. Sonoma. Our creeks are flooded. Here is a look at where we are seeing more along the creeks. Sonoma and shellville. We are seeing some flooding again with areas along river and the napa creek. North bay being hit hard by this system. Also a flood advisory in the east bay. Be prepared for the flooded roadways. We know how it goes.
