Highway 121 near 12, the intersection is flooded. Three cars actually got stuck in this. The Fire Department had to rescue six people in the water firefighters got them out safely but they left the cars there. This was around midnight. Consider this a cautionary tale of how fast the water can come up. How surprising it can be, obviously caught those people off guard and it is still raining as we speak. And heres a look at the outage map. At the height of the outages more than 3300 customers until the north bay were without power, most of those from one large outage in san rafael just north of downtown. The Biggest Issue in the area right now is in vacaville where more than 5,000 customers are waking up without the lights. These relentless storms are proving to be expensive. As you head up 680 from Sycamore Valley up towards alamo and you can see a heavier shower right now moving into mill valley, lark spur, and thats heading to where 580 and 101 come together. So heres what im expecting to happen today as we look at our roof camera and you can see the river of rain in the ruts on the embarcadero here in San Francisco.
