Helicopters are dropping water over big plumes of smoke. Its burning right next to rankin park. So far it has burned five acres. No word on any evacuations. A piece of heavy equipment was destroyed by a brush fire in contra costa county. Take a look at this video from chopper 5. A burning tractor was at the top of a charred hillside in blackhawk near wild oak port. We are checking to see whether it was a tractor working on the dry hillside that sparked the fire. It looks like the fire spread from where the tractor actually was. The fire has blackened five acres. In san jose, another brush fire kept firefighters busy most of the day.
