Many exams were postponed and bords cancelled few papers due to the COVID-19 pandemic and followed lockdown in 2020. This year also, although the exam schedules are out, many boards are making changes in the final schedule. In addition to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the CISCE and several states including Maharashtra, West Bengal, Rajasthan have declared the timetable and dates for the class 10 and class 12 board exams which are slated to be held in 2021.

Tamil Nadu SSLC, HSE+1 Exam students would be promoted to their next class without examination. Also, class 9 annual exams have been cancelled. The decision to cancel the exams was taken after receiving inputs from medical experts who suggested the situation is not conducive to conduct the SSLC and plus one exam, said the TN Chief Minister.

NGT forms 8-member committee to probe Virudhunagar fire incident ANI | Updated: Feb 18, 2021 23:13 IST New Delhi [India], February 18 (ANI): The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Thursday constituted an eight-member committee, headed by a former high court judge, to submit a report on the Virudhunagar fire incident last week. An NGT bench headed by Chairperson Justice A K Goel issued notices to the Tamil Nadu government, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), State Pollution Control Board (SPCB), Virudhunagar District Magistrate, and Sree Mariyammal Fireworks factory.
