We start with developing in us from Southern California where the investigation is underway in the shooting death of a chp officer an a Southern California freeway. He had pulled over a pickup truck just off the 215 in river riverside. Investigators say that the driver went back to his truck, grabbed a rifle and started shooting. The officer was able to radio for help. Three officers arrived, the officer was killed and two of the other officers were injured. Riverside county sheriffs deputies and Riverside Police responded to the call for help and shut down the freeway.
