They are working with other bay area agencies hoping someone can help find the man they say killed a teenager last week. Police are circulating these more recent pictures of 21yearold jorge luis tayez. He is suspected of shooting and shooting a 16yearold outside of a livermore taco bell following an argument. We appreciate all the help that we receive from the public and all the tipz that we get are a direct result of what we put out on social media. Reporter family identifies the victim as emmanuel mows by, an aspiring rapper and stand out Football Player at livermore high school, his friends told us the day after he was killed, moseby was kind and talented. I knew as soon as i met him he was a great person. He had a great heart. Reporter police put out this picture of a white volkswagen. They believe the person was in the taco bell drive through during the shooting and want to speak with them. Were doing everything we can to take every possible step to turnover every stone. Reporter a raid at tayezs home turned up nothing. The community and family are desperate for answers. I love my little cousin and what im going to say Reporter Police also believe the suspect and victim somehow knew each other. Troubling story. Ian, thank you. A disturbing scotche discovery n the south bay. They were doing a trespassing sweep in the Guadalupe River park when they discovered a womans body. Police say it is now being investigated as a suspiciousn t bruno police have made two or more arrests in connection with the mall shooting. This is 18yearold deandre gandt. Police say he is one of the shooters. They also arrested a 14yearold boy today. That shooting on july 2nd left two teenagers wounded and sent hundreds of shoppers running for safety. Two other teenagers had already been arrested. A deadly hit and run in San Francisco today is the latest reminder that traffic deaths are on the rise in the city. It happened a 5th a big rig hit and killed a man dragging him for several blocks. The big rick driver was arrested for vehicular manslaughter and failure to yield to a pedestrian. The driver said it was an accident and he cooperated with police. City transit leaders say changes will come immediately. What lessons do we learn from this . So, we need to redouble our efforts to redesign streets, especially streets in the tenderloin. The plan is to reengineer all of the highinjury streets which makeup about 100 miles in San Francisco. The tragedy is the 20th traffic death so far this year. No decision tonight, so the fast food fight continues. The walnut creek City Planning Commission held its first public hearing over a proposed amys drive through on main street. The larky park Neighbors United group is against. Of cars and issues in the area. Amys sayve throughs are less business because they attract a different kind of clientele. Thek group is squashed plans for an Innout Burger complex on the site. A warning for belmont residents. A Mountain Lion is on the prowl. Police say someone spotted the big cat near a backyard in the bell burn neighborhood. Thats right near notre dame university. This is not the first time a Mountain Lion has been spotted in the area. Less than two weeks ago, people in nearby san mateo caught a Mountain Lion on their nest camera walking down the sidewalk. New at 11 00, a family that lives in one of San Franciscos most notable neighborhoods is getting kicked out. That house believed to be worth 15 million and it used to be the former iranian consulate. They pay their rent on time. Now the state department wants them out. I see absolutely no reason for the government to do anything like this. Reporter Charlie Ferguson has lived next door to alexandra and bruce owen for years. The owen family lived here before he moved in. Now the state department wants them out. My understanding is that they have an International Obligation to maintain that property in good condition, and that the policy they have adopted to do that is to charge rent. The owens have been paying rent for god knows how long. Reporter close to 35 years, to be exact. Its owned by the iranian government because the home was once the iranian consulate. The state department is now in charge of it. The lawsuit claims the family is trespassing and living there unlawfully. The owens are now fighting the lawsuit based on californias ellis act, which allows landlords to get rid of tenants if a rental property is being taken off the market. You use the ellis act to tell somebody to get out of their house, then you cant put anybody else in the house. You cant rent it to anybody else. Its not clear. Theyd just rather have the place empty without tenant carir a property, it is their home its been their home for over 35 years. Reporter this mansion has an unusual and colorful history. In the 70s, it was the scene of hunger strikes, violent protests and a bombing that shattered car and home windows. Charlie ferguson says the owen family needs to stay. Now, the owen family pays about 5,500 a month for rent. If they plan to buy here, its going to be expensive. The average price for a mansion here between 5 and 10 million. Officers raided carmodys office in may. They are investigating the Police Report by the public defender chief jeff adachi. They cannot use any evidence collected from the cell phone. The judge says she was never told carmody was a journalist when police requested that warrant. Trains are back up and running on muni tonight after a pretty messy start to the day. A wall of water flowed into the embarcadero station, forcing a closure. That water was coming from the muni station one floor up. Both muni and bart saw big slow downs. Muni says crews were testing fire sprinklers and then so muni h made a temporary fix rews battled n. Five acre brush fire this this is off highway 237 near 61st street. Different agencies fought to get those flames under control. Crews also evacuate aid nearby homeless camp. Luckily nobody got hurt. They were both just in their 20s and today their families came together for the first pitch. The first pitch brought together families of two fallen officers, Natalie Corona from davis and officer Tara Osullivan from sacramento. There are still days that, you know, wake up and dont want to get out of bed. Reporter it was a tough night for officer osullivans father dennis osullivan. The last game that i was in this park was with tara. Reporter the officer originally from Contra Costa County was shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance one month ago. Today is the day four weeks ago that we received the phone call. Reporter tonight osullivan met a man who understands his pain. Officer coronas father merced corona. We finally came together and kbachl each other a big hug. Yeah, its emotional, at the same time its very rewarding and very what a tribute that they paid these officers. In march of 2018, five officers fatally shot joshua pollack as he was laying on the ground between two houses. Video youre watching is body cam footage of the incident. Pollack was waking up as the officers shouted commands at him. He was holding a gun at the time, but now comes word that a federal monitor overseeing the oakland Police Department as well as the citys Police Commission want all five officers fired. Those op certificates will now go through an appeal process. City administrator released a statement on behalf of the Police Department. Tonight the San Mateo CountySheriffs Department is mourning the death of correctional officer jeffrey or a. J. He drowned in the cove tuesday afternoon. Hed been with the Department Since 2017. Before that he worked for the Santa Clara CountySheriffs Office and also served in iraq. The widow of a cnbc financial analyst says Southwest Airlines is to blame for her husbands death. She claims the flight crew confused her husbands medical emergency for erratic behavior and now has sued for millions. Attorneys for the airline say Flight Attendants handled the situation as best they could. Now an oakland jury has to decide who is right. His widow who happens to be a former Southwest AirlinesFlight Attendant says, the crew on board mistook that for bizarre behavior and thought he was locking himself in the bathroom. The company that designed the popular yet controversial face app is addressing concerns about the technology. That app shows people how they will age, but like we told you yesterday, there are security concerns. Today the Russian Company that created the app says it only has pictures that the user chooses and that it does delete most of them after two days. The company says its been bombarded from with kwsz to delete the pictures, so that is the Company Priority at this time. The founder also says face app does not sell or share any pictures.
