strategy to kind of translate this very dense 448-page report to a television audience. because we saw at the special counsel s surprise a doj press statement a little over a month ago, just the power of a visual. he did not really repeat anything beyond what was in the mueller report. but you saw just the immediate impact that him just going up there and saying the conclusions of the report and saying what he said had. i mean, for example, there are two democratic presidential candidates, cory booker and kirsten gillibrand who have kind of danced around the impeachment question, but they saw the mueller statement and they said after what he said today, we need to have these proceedings. we need to have the inquiry proceed. and i think that s what house democrats are hoping for. they are hoping that that visual of mueller being in front being sworn into congress, being in front of lawmakers and have his testimony airing live really changes the public perception, even if he doesn t go
ways. economically to stay within the european union is a more immediately, at least in the short term, securer future. and president trump is coming here with a bit of a wind in his sail. the economy is doing very well in the united states. he s working on his 2020 plan. he feels very secure about that. but the uk is a very different picture. we have theresa may leaving. we ve got party leadership contests with 13 or so candidates. there is division, not just within theresa may s party but also within up and down the country. it s a very different country that he came to visit when he was here last. it s not that different and it s not very different from the one he just took off from within air force one. he is besieged at home in washington, d.c. he s got there is a sense of crisis since the mueller statement last week kind of reinforced the fact that he actually had violated quite a large number of norms, if not
immigration. i mean, there s no precedent. how do you respond to this? there s no precedent that raising prices on consumer goods or goods imported from mexico is going to have any type of impact on the crisis and humanitarian issues we re experiencing at the border. i feel like trump leveraged this as an opportunity to merge to issues to distract from his failure as a leader. we have the mueller statement and he s looking to draw attention elsewhere. this is not going to help and ultimately is going to harm our economy and consumers and harm american workers. i think ultimately with any type of tariff on goods from mexico, we know that they produce cars and we know they produce a lot of things we use every single day. auto parts. the workers will be negatively impacted because supply chains will be disrupted. won t this hurt, brandon, some of the supporters of president trump, ultimately,
