The family of a woman killed by a speeding driver have spoken of their loss and grief - and of their gratitude to members of the public and medics who tried to save her.

A speeding driver lost control of his car and smashed into an oncoming vehicle – killing the 87-year-old passenger and gravely injuring her daughter at the wheel.
Nathan Clarke was doing around 50mph when he tried to negotiate a roundabout, clipped a barrier, and was launched into the air. His BMW slammed into an oncoming car containing a mother and daughter returning home from their weekly bingo game in a local social club.

An ambulance crew put an 89-year-old woman to bed in the wrong house after she was discharged from hospital, her son has said.
Elizabeth Mahoney had been in County Hospital in Pontypool, Torfaen, for 10 weeks being treated for Covid-19.
But when she was discharged on 12 March, instead of being taken home, Ms Mahoney s son Brian said she was taken to a stranger s house in Newport.
The Welsh Ambulance Service said it had apologised to the family.
‘Bring up children in secured family environment’

Bethany Christian Services (BCS) Ghana, a non-governmental organisation (NG0), seeking family and child welfare, has said that there was the need to bring up children in secured family environment, to protect them both emotionally and psychologically.
According to Country Director of BCS, Mrs Bridget Owusu Mahoney, such move could help improve wellbeing of children and reduce crime among minors and young adults.
The advice comes in the wake of reports of two teenagers allegedly killing a 10-year-old boy for ‘money rituals’, in Kasoa, recently, which ended in their arrest and prosecution.
