A speeding driver lost control of his car and smashed into an oncoming vehicle – killing the 87-year-old passenger and gravely injuring her daughter at the wheel.
Nathan Clarke was doing around 50mph when he tried to negotiate a roundabout, clipped a barrier, and was launched into the air. His BMW slammed into an oncoming car containing a mother and daughter returning home from their weekly bingo game in a local social club.
