SAD VIDEO Of How A 54-Yr-Old Caregiver Maltreated An 11-Month-Old Baby Leading To Her Death

  A 54-year-old female caregiver, Clara Ayani-Ampah has been arrested by the police over the torturous handling of an eleven-month-old baby in her care which allegedly led to the death of the child.  Ampah was arrested after a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera installed in the room exposed the dastardly act, following a complaint the parents of the baby girl lodged over the death of the child.  In the video shared online, the lady could be seen coercively striving to push what looked like a liquid-based food substance down the throat of the frail baby.  The caregiver who was not perturbed by the cries of the innocent child and her visible attempts in gasping for breath,  pushed the fragile baby-hands of her victim behind her back all in her endeavour to push food down the throat of the frail baby. 

Suspected Robber Lynched, Another Drowns

  A mob at Sakaman, in the Greater Accra Region, has lynched a suspected robber, whilst his alleged accomplice drowned in the nearby lagoon in his escape attempt. They had allegedly robbed a lady of her handbag, using a pair of scissors, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mrs Effia Tenge, and head of the Public Affairs Unit of the Accra Regional Police Command, told the Ghana News Agency, in Accra. She said information received from Sakaman indicated that, on May 19, 2021 at about 2130hours, two men using a motorbike robbed a certain woman (yet to be identified) of her handbag and contents, using a pair of scissors and another weapon.

Body exhumed over protracted land issue

Few hours after Theophilus Budu was buried at the Abokobi Boi public cemetery in the Greater Accra Region last Monday by the Akpoman family, the coffin containing the body was exhumed and deposited a few metres from the grave. The traumatised Akpoman family, which suspects a disputant family, Boi family as responsible for the act, reported the matter to the Abokobi Police. No one has been arrested yet. Briefing Briefing the Daily Graphic in Accra last Thursday, the police said they were investigating circumstances surrounding the exhumation of the body.
