At a helicopter, perhaps a desperate attempt to direct potential rescuers to a man who had fallen down a cliff, hoping he might still be alive. But it was too late. The National Park Service Confirms the 67yearold was trying to get to his dog, which had made its way partway down the cliff. But he slipped and fell hundreds of feet to his death. While a california Highway Patrol helicopter lifted firefighters anl the mans body from the area, his family members arrived to retrieve the dog and console one another.
