The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has penalised the Regional Transport Authority (RTA), Ludhiana, for delay in issuing driving license to a person. The commission ordered the RTA, mini-secretariat, Ludhiana, to pay compensation of Rs 5,000 to the consumer, Jodha Singh of Bhattian colony, Ludhiana within 30 days of receipt of a copy of the order.
