In 2008, mark served as the visiting senior lecturer of war studies at the Royal Military academy at sandhurst in the united kingdom. It was recruited in the summer and fall of 1861, primarily from the North Central part of West Virginia. Let me bring up a map. Primarily from northcentral West Virginia, and also Monroe County, ohio and ring county, pennsylvania. Greene county is here, Monroe County is here. The recruiting area is basically this area, plus a little bit of Greene County and Monroe County, ohio. Their initial service was about 50 miles west of winchester, virginia. Another hurt on the southwest side. Its an update to a story we ld you about yesterday morning. 25yearold Joseph Perkins junior of chicago was killed. Someone also shot and injured a 21yearold man in the leg. Police have not identified him for his own safety. As of this morning, no one faces any charges. Witnesses told police they heard multiple gunshots at the cedar valley townhomes at 3thousand j street southwest about 9 30 tuesday night. Police say it wasnt a random shooting. Those nearby found perkins body in the parking lot and started cpr. They say the man who was injured limped behind a building. Coralvilles big debt and what to do about it will be a big topic at Tonights City Council meeting. On december 9th, Moodys Investors Service downgraded the citys bond rating. Tts generally seen ap a negative reflection of the cityty financnc and can make it harder for coralville to borrow money. The bond rating dropped to the lowest rating of Investment Grade on moodys scale. The company rated coralville this way becauau of its high debtbtnd liabilities. Liabilities include things like ownership of a hotel and performance center. Coralville has about 267million dollars in debt.
